The festival’s main stage is inside Ngome Kongwe , the Old Fort , a 17th-century structure built by the Omanis to defend against the Portuguese. Its historic walls now echo with music, dance, and celebration, transforming into a majestic open-air amphitheater under the stars.
Outside the fort, the surrounding Forodhani Gardens and streets of Stone Town become a colorful sea of activity with pop-up markets, food vendors, and spontaneous dance circles.
