After a short drive from Moshi (approx. 45–50 minutes), the trek begins through lush jungle with high humidity. Expect to spot Colobus monkeys, rich birdlife, and towering tropical flora. The trail is often muddy and slippery but teeming with life.
Camp is nestled at the edge of the forest, where the mist gives way to moorland views.
Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Day 3: Shira 2 to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Start the day by tackling the Great Barranco Wall, a non-technical but exhilarating scramble rising nearly 300 meters. From the top, the path winds through glacial valleys and ridges until reaching Karanga Camp — a strategic rest point for acclimatization.
Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

A short but tough day. You’ll gain altitude quickly, traversing rocky paths and arriving at Barafu Camp, perched on an exposed ridge. From here, you’ll see both Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. After an early dinner, it’s time to rest — summit night begins before midnight.
Day 6: Barafu to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

Your summit push begins under starlight, often in extreme cold and wind. The trail to Stella Point (5,739m) is steep and relentless. From there, it’s another hour along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak — the rooftop of Africa.
Take in the glacier views, capture your summit photo, and prepare for a long descent back to Mweka Camp. This is a demanding, unforgettable day — one you’ll remember forever.
Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

The final descent winds back through rainforest. Expect damp trails and celebratory moods. At Mweka Gate, you’ll receive your summit certificate, marking your journey's end.
