Day 1: Nairobi – Nanyuki – Sirimon Gate – Judmaier Camp (Old Moses Camp)

Your journey begins with a morning departure from Nairobi at 07:00 AM, heading north through lush farmlands and the foothills of Kenya’s Central Highlands. Along the way, stop at the Equator Line in Nanyuki—a perfect photo opportunity and a great place for altitude orientation.
Arrive at Sirimon Gate (2,600m), where you’ll meet your professional mountain team. After completing park registration and enjoying a picnic lunch, your trek begins.
Today’s hike is a gentle 8 km ascent, taking you through dense forest and bamboo groves—habitats rich in birdlife and small mammals. As you gain elevation, the vegetation transitions into heather and open moorland. You’ll reach Judmaier Camp (Old Moses Camp) in the late afternoon, located at 3,300m. Enjoy a warm dinner and rest as you acclimatize to the higher altitude.
Accommodation: Judmaier Camp (Mountain Hut)

Day 2: Judmaier Camp – Mackinder’s Valley – Shipton’s Camp
Mackinder’s Valley

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll set out on a long but rewarding hike through the moorland zone. Today’s route passes through open ridges and alpine plateaus, traversing the Ontulili River Valley and skirting dramatic rock formations.
You'll descend briefly into Liki North Valley, then climb out and contour into the spectacular Mackinder’s Valley—a sweeping corridor flanked by jagged peaks and dramatic ridges. Towering in the distance are the awe-inspiring Batian (5,199m) and Nelion (5,188m) peaks.
You’ll reach Shipton’s Camp (4,200m) by mid-afternoon, situated at the base of the main peaks. This rustic mountain refuge offers magnificent sunset views and a quiet night to rest and prepare for the early summit attempt.
Accommodation: Shipton’s Camp (Mountain Hut)
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Drinks: Bottled & filtered drinking water
Day 3: Shipton’s Camp – Summit Point Lenana – Descend to Judmaier – Return to Nairobi
summit Point Lenana

You’ll rise before dawn to begin your final ascent to Point Lenana. The trail is steep and rocky, winding through scree slopes and ice patches, but your reward is unparalleled: a sunrise summit at 4,985m, bathing the sky in hues of orange and gold. On clear days, the snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro, far to the south, is visible, along with expansive views across the Laikipia Plateau.
After a triumphant photo session at the peak, descend carefully back to Shipton’s Camp for a hot breakfast and short rest. The journey continues with a descent to Judmaier Camp, retracing your steps through the moorlands.
Upon arrival at the camp, your transfer vehicle will be ready to drive you back to Nanyuki, then onwards to Nairobi, where you’ll arrive in the evening—fulfilled, exhausted, and full of stories.
