Watamu Marine National Park

Located along Kenya’s north coast near Malindi, Watamu Marine National Park is one of the oldest and most beautiful marine parks in East Africa. Established in 1968, this protected marine sanctuary is world-renowned for its pristine coral reefs, crystal-clear waters, and extraordinary biodiversity.

Part of the larger Malindi–Watamu Marine Reserve, the park offers a perfect combination of marine adventure, conservation, and coastal relaxation.

  • Situated about 28 km south of Malindi and approximately 120 km north of Mombasa.

  • Covers roughly 10 km² of protected marine waters.
