Queen Elizabeth National Park enjoys a warm tropical climate, with temperatures influenced by the open plains and surrounding lakes.

• Easily accessed via the Mbarara or Fort Portal routes

1. Tree-Climbing Lions of Ishasha

One of the park’s most famous highlights,lions that climb and rest in giant fig trees.
This rare behavior is seen in only a few places in Africa and makes the Ishasha sector a must-visit.

A natural 32-kilometer waterway linking Lake Edward and Lake George.
